Ingredients
- 1/2 lb. bacon, chopped
- 1 onion, diced
- 3 carrots, diced
- 3 stalks celery, diced
- 1 small can peeled tomatoes
- 1 smoked sausage or 1 lb. ham, chopped
- 1 potato, diced
- lentils
Method
- Fry bacon and onion until golden brown.
- Add carrots, celery and potato.
- Stir for 5 minutes.
- Add peeled tomatoes, lentils and ham or sausage.
- Add enough water to cover.
- Let simmer for 4 hours.
