Ingredients
- 1 gal. green tomatoes
- 2 medium onions
- 4 large green peppers (bell)
- 2 large red peppers (bell)
- 1/2 c. salt
- 1 tsp. pickling spice
- 1 c. water
- 3 c. vinegar
- 2 c. sugar
Method
- Wash, chop and mix together.
- Add salt.
- Let stand several hours or overnight; drain liquid and discard.
- Tie spices in bag. Combine all ingredients and simmer 30 minutes.
- Ladle hot mixture into hot jars and seal at once.
- Process in boiling water bath 10 minutes.
