Ingredients

  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 tsp. chili powder
  • 1 (4 oz.) can chopped green chilies
  • 3 c. chopped tomatoes
  • 1 c. frozen cooked shrimp
  • 1 lb. (1 inch pieces) frozen cod
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 3 c. chicken broth
  • 1 c. chopped green pepper
  • 1 1/2 c. plain yogurt

Method

  • In Dutch oven, cook onion and garlic about 5 minutes, stirring often until onion is tender.
  • Stir in chili powder, cook 2 minutes stirring often.
  • Stir in broth and chilies.
  • Heat to boiling, reduce heat; cover and simmer 20 minutes.
  • Stir in tomatoes, pepper, shrimp and fish.
  • Heat to boiling; reduce heat.
  • Cover and simmer 5 minutes or until fish flakes easily with fork and shrimp are heated through.
  • Gradually stir in yogurt and heat just until hot (do not boil).
