Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. butter, softened
  • 1 c. plain flour
  • 2 Tbsp. water
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 tsp. almond flavoring
  • 1 c. plain flour
  • 3 eggs
  • powdered sugar glaze
  • chopped nuts

Method

  • Heat oven to 350°.
  • Cut 1/2 cup butter into 1 cup flour until size of small peas.
  • Sprinkle 2 tablespoons water over flour mixture.
  • Mix.
  • Make a ball of the mixture and divide into halves. Pat each half into rectangle, 12 x 3-inch, on ungreased cookie sheet, about 3 inches apart.
