Ingredients

  • 1 ounce lemon juice
  • 1/2 ounce Simple Syrup, recipe follows
  • 1/2 ounce vodka
  • 1/4 ounce gin
  • 1/4 ounce rum
  • 1/2 ounce tequila
  • 1/2 ounce whiskey
  • 1/2 ounce triple sec
  • Splash cola
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water

Method

  • For the sour mix: Stir together the lemon juice and Simple Syrup in a glass.
  • For the Texas tea: Fill a Collins glass with ice.
  • Pour in the vodka, gin, rum, tequila, whiskey, triple sec and 1 ounce of the sour mix.
  • Top off with a splash of cola.
  • Stir once with a bar spoon and serve.
  • No garnish needed.
  • Put the sugar and water in a small saucepan.
  • Cook over low heat, stirring, until the sugar dissolves.
  • (Alternatively, heat in the microwave.)
  • Store in a sealed container in the refrigerator.
