Ingredients
- 1 c. butter, softened
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 2 c. flour, sifted
- 3 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 egg, separated
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. pecans, chopped
Method
- Cream butter and sugar.
- Combine flour and cinnamon; gradually add to creamed mixture.
- Stir in egg yolk and vanilla until well blended.
- Spread dough in a greased 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 1-inch baking sheet and pat down.
- Brush egg white on top of dough; sprinkle nuts over dough.
- Press nuts down.
- Bake in preheated 300° oven for 30 minutes.
- Cut into bars and remove from sheet to cool. Makes 2 dozen bars.
