- 1 unbaked pie crust
- 6 oz. pkg. (1 c.) semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 2 c. pecan pieces
- 1/2 c. packed brown sugar
- 1/2 c. dark corn syrup
- 3 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- sweetened whipped cream
- 1/4 c. chocolate chips, melted
Method
- Heat oven to 375°.
- Sprinkle chocolate chips over bottom of pie crust.
- Top with pecan pieces.
- In small bowl combine brown sugar, corn syrup, eggs and vanilla; beat well.
- Pour over pecans. Bake at 375° for 25 to 35 minutes or until top is deep golden brown; cool.
- Garnish with whipped cream and melted chocolate chips.
- Store in refrigerator.
- Makes 8 servings.
