Ingredients

  • 1 unbaked pie crust
  • 6 oz. pkg. (1 c.) semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 c. pecan pieces
  • 1/2 c. packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. dark corn syrup
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • sweetened whipped cream
  • 1/4 c. chocolate chips, melted

Method

  • Heat oven to 375°.
  • Sprinkle chocolate chips over bottom of pie crust.
  • Top with pecan pieces.
  • In small bowl combine brown sugar, corn syrup, eggs and vanilla; beat well.
  • Pour over pecans. Bake at 375° for 25 to 35 minutes or until top is deep golden brown; cool.
  • Garnish with whipped cream and melted chocolate chips.
  • Store in refrigerator.
  • Makes 8 servings.
