Ingredients

  • 1 chicken (about 3 lb.)
  • 1 onion (used to cook and season chicken)
  • 2 ribs celery
  • 1 or 2 tomatoes, chopped
  • parsley, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1 or 2 onions, finely chopped
  • 1 qt. chicken stock (save from cooking chicken)
  • 1 large can mushrooms
  • 1 Tbsp. catsup
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 7 oz. spaghetti
  • 1/2 c. grated Cheddar cheese

Method

  • Simmer chicken in enough water to cover; add salt and pepper to taste.
  • Add 1 whole onion and 2 ribs celery; cook until tender. Remove onion, celery, bones and skin of chicken; set aside and reserve the stock for next step.
