Ingredients
- 1 c. flour, sifted
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. paprika
- 3/4 c. Parmesan, grated
- 1/3 c. sharp Cheddar, grated
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1 Tbsp. cream
- 1 egg yolk
- coarse salt or sesame seeds
Method
- Preheat oven to 325°.
- Sift dry ingredients together.
- Mix in cheese.
- Cut in butter and work in cream to make smooth dough. Chill at least 1 hour.
- Roll out dough 1/8 inch thick on lightly floured surface.
- Cut with canape cutters.
- Place on ungreased baking sheet; brush with egg yolk mixed with 1 tablespoon water. Sprinkle with coarse salt or sesame seeds.
- Bake for 12 minutes or until golden.
- Yields 24.
