Ingredients

  • 3 Large Apples
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground cloves (optional)
  • 3 tbsp raw honey
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup orange juice or apple cider

Method

  • Wash, core, and thinly slice apples.
  • In pan, melt butter until it begins to brown slightly.
  • Add cinnamon, cloves, honey, and vanilla.
  • Mix together.
  • Add apple.
  • Stir until coated with mixture.
  • Let brown for about two minutes, stirring constantly.
  • Add juice.
  • Stir.
  • Cover and let simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Remove lid and simmer on med - high heat, stirring constantly until sauce thickens.
  • Serve hot.
