Ingredients
- 1 lb. thawed sausage
- 1 large, raw egg
- 8 large eggs, hard-cooked, shelled and patted dry
- flour
- 1/2 c. packaged bread crumbs
- 4 c. vegetable oil for deep frying
Method
- Mix sausage and egg until well blended; divide into 8 even portions.
- Roll hard-cooked eggs in flour to lightly coat.
- Pat 1 portion of sausage around each egg to form thin, even coating. Roll eggs in bread crumbs to coat.
- Heat oil to 375° over medium heat.
- Fry 5 to 6 minutes until golden, turning often to brown on all sides.
- Drain on paper towels.
