Ingredients

  • 12 ounces lean ground beef
  • 3 green onions
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 12 teaspoons mirin
  • 14 teaspoon fresh ground pepper
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 60 wonton wrappers

Method

  • Finely mince green onions.
  • Combine all filling ingredients squeezing to combine well.
  • Dip a finger in water and run it around the edge of your wrapper.
  • Drop 1 1/2t of filling into the center of your wrapper and pinch closed.
  • Place dumplings on baking sheet and cover with plastic wrap.
  • (At this point the dumplings can be frozen and transferred to a plastic bag.)
  • Arrange a single layer of dumplings in a steamer basket and steam over boiling water for 7 minutes.
