Ingredients
- 1 lb. pkg. phyllo (filo) pastry
- 1 c. melted butter
- 1/2 lb. walnuts, chopped fine (2 c.)
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 3/4 c. honey
- 1 c. water
- 1 tsp. lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
Method
- Thaw pastry and separate into thirds.
- Place 1/3 in greased 15 x 10 x 1-inch pan.
- Brush sheet with melted butter.
- Combine nuts, sugar and cinnamon.
- Sprinkle 1/2 over buttered pastry; repeat 1/3 dough and butter each sheet.
- Cut into 2 inch diamonds.
- Bake at 400° until brown and crisp, 30 to 35 minutes.
